Getting There - Flights

Most flights arrive at Alicante airport (see airline links for all flight details), approximately a 50 minute drive away from the apartment by either car hire, or by catching the resorthoppa (our preferred suggestion), which you can reserve beforehand. Otherwise, there are buses that can take you into Alicante from where you can catch a bus or a train. 

Car Hire

If you are used to driving on Spanish roads, then you can hire a car from one of the many companies at Alicante airport. However, if you are a novice and not used to Spanish motorway systems, we suggest catching the Resorthoppa to Cala Finestrat (then a taxi to the apartment) and hiring a car locally at your leisure (see Chris or Neil at Internet/Catalogue Café on Maria Baixa, Cala Finestrat – see link).

Buses & Trains

From the airport (Alicante) you can book transport in advance through Resorthoppa, who normally will drop you off at the hotel Monika Holidays in Cala Finestrat. Our representative can then either arrange transfer to the apartment from there or you can arrange a taxi yourself from the hotel.

During your holiday, you will find that there is a good bus service running from Cala Finestrat to Benidorm (and up to Carrefour). The service will shortly be extended to go past Los Altos de Sierra Cortina (summer 06).

The train/tram services run from Alicante all the way up the coast to Denia (FGV)
